The Israeli military has wiped out 902 Palestinian families in Gaza since 7 October, the Gaza Media Office
(GMO) revealed on Wednesday.
The office says that the killing of entire family
members has erased them from the civil registry.
The GMO also adds the army has killed 1,364
Palestinian families, killing all their members except one and killing 3,472
families, leaving only two survivors per family.
"We strongly condemn the Israeli occupation’s
crime of killing entire Palestinian families, and we also condemn all the
killings and genocides carried out by the occupation against our Palestinian
people," the GMO said in its statement.
"We call on all nations worldwide to denounce
these systematic crimes against civilians, especially against children and
women."
The office also noted the "full American sponsorship and the
participation of several European and Western countries" supplying arms to
Israel, calling for the countries to be prosecuted in international and
criminal courts worldwide.
"We urge the international community and all
international and United Nations organizations to pressure the American
administration and the criminal occupation to stop the genocide and halt the
ongoing bloodshed that has persisted for a full year."
Israel's war on Gaza, with its campaign of bombing, shelling and raids, has since killed
over 41,698 Palestinians and injured over 96,600, with some 10,000 missing or
under the rubble.
Despite multiple calls for a ceasefire, Israel fails to agree to a ceasefire deal to stop its
aggression.
Almost 80 percent of the people in Gaza have
been displaced since Israel’s war began, with around 1.9
million people, nine in 10 Gazans – according to the United Nations Population
Fund.
Multiple nations have accused Israel of committing
genocide against the people of Palestine, with South Africa taking the state to
court. The International Court of Justice ruled there are "plausible" acts of genocide by Israel in Gaza and ruled that its occupation of Palestine is illegal.
There have been calls for Western nations to end their
arms sales to Israel, arms which have been accused of aiding Israel in its
ongoing war.
The United States has been Israel’s biggest supplier of weapons, recently approving a sale
of a $20 billion weapons package to the state.
While the UK did suspend 30 of its 350 arms export licenses to Israel,
its Prime Minister Starmer has repeatedly called for Israel’s right to defend
itself, including following Iran’s strikes on Monday.
The arms were suspended because there was a risk the
weapons might be used to commit serious violations of international
humanitarian law.
